2016 Grenache 300 | McLaren Vale
After tasting through all the Grenache barrels and selecting wines for blends, this single barrel of McLaren Vale Grenache was different. Intriguing enough for us to decide we couldn’t bear to blend it with anything else as it had it’s own story to tell. There were only 300 bottles made. We hope you love this one as much as we do.

Median colour, not intense, aging, approachable, nose is sweet, grenache-style lolly; lots of rustic attitude; meats, bacon, smoke, mint from stem and whole bunch in the making; totals up to a very interesting wine to drink; has as much taste from a kitchen as it has from the paddock; complex and beguiling palate length, full but very soft, sweetening as it dries. Nice touch of old and new methods in making. Gives it character.
Very detailed wine, carefully made and the fruit has responded; full yet delicate; poised but concentrated; easy to drink and easy to match. 96 Points
